Tomte’s Home is located in a quiet, nature-rich area of Jämtland, one of Sweden’s most untouched regions. Nature begins right at the doorstep: forests, open land, fresh air and deep silence shape the surroundings.
The seasons are clearly felt here – from bright, vibrant summers to calm, powerful winters. Forest walks, time by the fire or simply being present are a natural part of life here.

Notes from Tomte – good to know
Tomte’s Home is a special place of simplicity and calm. Please keep the following in mind:

A steep staircase leads to the bedroom (see photos).
The house is therefore only partially suitable for guests with limited mobility. -
The last approx. 14 km of the journey are on a gravel / nature road, which is plowed when necessary (e.g. in winter).

Tomte consciously lives without television and without internet.
Instead, you will find a small library with selected books – an invitation to slow down. -
Additional offers, such as mindful nature experiences, can be booked separately.

As Tomte lives close to the forest, the nearest grocery stores are approx. 49 km away.
We recommend planning your shopping in advance.

We understand that unforeseen events can change your travel plans. Therefore, we have established the following cancellation policy to ensure a fair arrangement for both our guests and us:

Important note: The reservation of the holiday apartment is only binding after full payment has been received.

You can cancel your booking free of charge within 10 days of booking confirmation.

Cancellation up to 1 month before arrival:

If you cancel up to 1 month before the arrival date, we will charge 50% of the total price.

Cancellation less than 1 month before arrival:

If you cancel less than 1 month before the arrival date, no refund of the total price is possible.
